Student AccommodationStudent Accommodation GSoM understands how important it is that students have good quality, conveniently located accommodation whilst studying at the School. The School has an Accommodation Officer who can advise our students on how to find suitable accommodation that suits their lifestyle and their budget. The Accommodation Officer will help source a wealth of different types of accommodation ranging from inspected private accommodation; studios and flats at the student village and places at local host-family homes. ![]() Costs of living in Greenwich Most students request their own room and share a kitchen and bathroom facilities with other members of the household. Close to the college, the price for a room would be in excess of £125.00 per week inclusive of bills. Rooms outside Greenwich are a little cheaper, but bus and train fares then have to be considered. Flats in the area (when available) are in excess of £200.00 per week plus bills for a one bedroom apartment. It must be recognised that flats are in relatively short supply and frequently require a large deposit to secure in advance, together with references. Please note that you may be requested to pay 6 months rent in advance plus 6 weeks rent deposit. If you have a UK based guarantor then you may be able to pay monthly. International Students International Students are advised to take temporary accommodation upon arrival in London and make more permanent living arrangements during this initial period. Maria King of Hospitality London specializes in short term and short notice accommodation. Please contact her directly on info@hospitalitylondon.com or + 4420 8530 8555 We advise all students arriving from overseas to bring travellers cheques or sterling cash where possible as it can take quite a time to open a bank account. You may wish to book an Airport Taxi service to meet you on arrival. The price is £60.00 including 45 minutes initial waiting time and £20.00 per hour thereafter. To book a Taxi from the Airport we must have a date and a time of arrival and your flight number. Booking and selecting your accommodation Accommodation can be arranged either during your Induction period or on your arrival at the school for enrolment prior to commencement of your course. Please contact our Accommodation Officer via accommodation@greenwich-college.ac.uk or by telephone: switchboard 020 8516 7800 or direct line 020 8516 7847. ![]() The Student Village The student village is a popular choice of accommodation of our students.
