On Saturday 9th April GSoM was pleased to welcome Dr Brian Howieson from the Institute for People-Centred
Healthcare Management of The University of Stirling Management School. Dr Howieson who is currently the
External Examiner for the School's Health Management programmes delivered an informative workshop to GSoM postgraduate Executive students seeking to publish their academic research. With over sixty students in attendance the workshop was a resounding success.
The Workshop entitled 'Getting Published' offered participants an insight into publishing academic work. Dr Howieson was keen to inform our students that written work can be published using a variety of sources including academic journals, periodicals, trade publications, online platforms and traditional media and books. The Workshop examined each source in detail and investigated the merits of publishing in each. The success of this event has resulted in similar events being planned for this year.
