Master of Science (MSc)
The Master of Science degree at Greenwich School of Management provides programme members who have a good first degree (not necessarily in management), and who have little or no experience of management with a rigorous academic programme that will prepare them for management and leadership roles in organisations and grounding in one of the following specialist areas MSc Business Management
Aims and Objectives of the Master of Science programmes
The programme encourages programme members to apply a range of business perspectives to the identification and solution of business problems and to explore the interdisciplinary nature of business. Programme members develop a range of intellectual and personal skills relevant to careers in business management and are, thus, able to adapt to, understand and cope with the pace of change in the increasingly challenging world of business management. The MSc programmes provide a broad advanced study of organisations, their management, and their operating environment. They are designed for graduates in business or non-business oriented subjects without previous managerial experience. The programme introduces the principal theories of organisations and their management and gives programme
members a critical awareness of management practices used in dealing with complexity in business
environments. Through the MSc programme students will develop practical skills and a capacity to apply the
acquired management knowledge to the real experience of business. In addition, programme members develop
analytical skills so that they will be able to make informed choices and decisions when dealing with
management problems. The programme will instil a critical awareness of the social impact of management
choices and decisions, and enable programme members to develop as reflective management practitioners.
