The Degree Foundation Programme is a National Qualification Framework (NQF) level three qualification and on successful completion of this programme students will be eligible to progress to the School’s bachelor degree programmes. By engaging with the programme, students will develop the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the specific subject areas taught and will have enhanced academic and language skills at an appropriate level for higher studies. Students will develop the ability to apply a range of knowledge, skills and understanding appropriate for university level studies. Thus, the main aims of the programme are to:
- Develop the appropriate level of knowledge and understanding of the specified subject areas;
- Increase the self- awareness and self confidence of the students;
- Facilitate an awareness of and appreciation for the need to reflect on academic development and career planning;
- Develop confidence and fluency in the use of English;
- Provide a forum for the understanding of the functions of computers and assist students to develop competence in using these;
- Offer the students a comprehensive introduction to English Legal systems and processes
- Enable the students to understand and present numerical data and advanced appropriate mathematical skills and knowledge
- Facilitate the development of appropriate knowledge pertaining to the principles of management
Progression

Admission Requirements
Applicants for the programme will be expected to possess:
- Five GCSEs or equivalent academic or professional qualifications
- A good command of written and spoken English.
Applicants without these qualifications will be considered on their merits.

How to make an application
To make an application you must send us the following information:
- Your completed GSoM Application Form
Application forms are available in your prospectus pack or you can click the 'Apply' link to the right and complete the form online. If you need any help or advice before completing the application form please call the School and speak to a course advisor who will advise you. You are also welcome to visit the school where we can assist with completing your application.
- The GSoM International Student Declaration Form
If you require a Student Visa to study in the UK you will be required to complete this form. Click here to download a copy of the International Student Declaration Form.
- Copies of your qualifications as listed on your application form.
- Your CV / Resume detailing your educational and professional achievements.
- A Reference from a place of study or an employer. - References must be on letterhead paper, signed and dated by your referee.
- A photocopy of the relevant pages of your passport. - For example front cover, personal details page and any pages indicating relevant visas or migration stamps.
- The Application Fee of £130. This can be paid by cheque or postal order made payable to 'Greenwich School of Management Ltd'. Credit/Debit Card, or by Bank Transfer (click here for the GSoM account details). The application fee is entirely refundable should you not be accepted.

- Tuition fees are payable in advance (instalment plans are available by arrangement).
- Tuition fees are non-refundable.
- The registration fee is refundable should the School be unable to accept you.
- Overseas students are reminded that they must comply with
Home Office regulations on immigration, particularly with
respect to attendance.A medical certificate must support
absences due to illness.
- Programme details are correct at the time of going to press
but are subject to alteration.
Programmes will only take place if justified by demand.
- All fees are inclusive of Government taxes.
Students must adhere to the regulations relating to their
programme.
- The Students’ Union Fee of £10 may be payed on enrolment.
- The admission requirements stated for the programmes
represent the minimum entry standard. Greenwich School of
Management and the University of Plymouth reserve the right
to require entry standards above the minimum.
- The School reserves the right to refuse to accept or to enrol
